Regardless of the structure, there is a definite difference between what is a dwelling place and what is truly Home.
Just like people, a home can come in many different shapes and sizes; house, condo, apartment, RV, dorm room, tent, tiny home, or other design.
Your home is an extension of you. It reflects your energy, your character, your personality. We see this in the many design styles like traditional to modern, rustic to bohemian, and minimalist to mid-century.
And some people don’t feel at home without having some extension to the great outdoors.
Whether landscaping and flowers, fruits and vegetables, or both, gardening brings an additional expression of personality while providing beauty and bounty.
We will be sharing a variety of home and garden tips, projects, and décor for everyday and for holidays.
Our Urban Homestead is in Florida, so our home projects and garden will reflect longer growing seasons and warm weather, but we came from “up north” and will include plenty of content for all different regions. (Just don’t ask us to have snow down here.)
Our gardening will also include a variety of methods including organic, hydroponic, and other natural options. This is to tie in with our journey to a healthier life.
